i just finished the first episode. my opinion: wow.. they really wanna beat Twilight Saga.
starts with a girl named Elena who lost her parents, yada yada yada comes a new supposedly to be a hot mysterious guy (that's sooo like Edward) but the problem is, to my eyes, he's NOT HOT! and yes they can go out in daylight (in broad daylight without a single cloud!) coz they wear a ring that can protect them from turning into ashes. ugh.. so this guy named i dunno.. Stefan Salvatore? if i wasn't mistaken, is an old vampire, there was one part where he took out a journal i think and there was a picture of a woman named Katherine dated 1864. so he's much older than Edward (wtv..) and Elena basically reminds him of Katherine, whatever the reason is. oh! they both write diaries. aww soo sweet... so now! let's make a comparison!
Edward Cullen.
Borned in 1901, so he now aged 108. Feeds on animals. Sangat panas! (very hot!). Deeply in love with a human, Bella. Super rich. Topaz coloured eyes, becomes black when aggresive with dark bruises beneath them. Freakishly pale, diamond-skin when come in contact with sunlight. he is beautiful. Live in closed-knit family: the cullens. Able to read minds and play piano (itu sangat panas!). Have a 20th century accent of speaking (itu pun sangat panas!)
Stefan Salvatore.
Aged more than 145 (judging by the picture). Feeds on animals. Not hot. In love with a human, Elena. Financial status: unknown. Black coloured eyes, becomes more black when aggresive (the whole eye not just the iris, remember supernatural?) with more bruises beneath and they look hideous. really. Have a brother (also a vampire) and a human uncle. Talents: persuasive eyes (something like that..). Speaks with a modern american accent.
i don't know why i'm doing this. maybe to show how perfect Edward is ha ha ha ha. why is the world so obsessed with vampires? it wasn't like this when Angel from Buffy was introduced god-know-how-many-years-ago. last time it became a frenzy was when 'The Interview with a Vampire'. it became a frenzy again with Twilight. then come along True Blood (which i don't watch at all, they already finished season 2, i still don't watch it.) then there's a new movie coming up, Cirque du Freak: The Vampire Assistant. don't know how freakish the movie will be. the world is crazy over vampires just like Malaysia is crazy over Nur Kasih. haih... you don't have to repeat the drama now, we're all waiting for the last 2 episodes, not waiting to watch the first episode again and again and again.
